About Posy
Posy Gering’s career path began in ninth grade geometry, while she was contemplating the axiom: Through any given point an infinite number of lines can pass.
Suddenly and powerfully she realized the axiom could be applied to the goal of living life to its fullest. At any moment, we all face a vast number of possibilities. Yet most of us are aware of just one or two. How, she wondered, could a person see more?
Since the time of that epiphany, Posy has sought ways to share this insight and assist others in achieving their full potential. She helps others discover new connections, expand their creativity and explore unfamiliar ways of transforming their lives. True to form, she exploits the widest range of techniques, including cognitive science, yoga, art and curiosity, applied with discipline and accountability.
Posy’s work draws from extensive experience in business, academia and the arts, as well as on her own transformation process. She founded and for twelve years ran a successful Public Relations agency, supporting high profile clients such as Nordstrom, AT&T, Intel, IBM and Microsoft. She then further distinguished herself in senior level positions with Washington Mutual Bank and T-Mobile.
While completing her master’s in Organizational Development, she recognized that all her experiences could come together in one of those geometric points. In 2008 Posy founded nextU, where she assists entrepreneurs in developing value-based plans that strengthen skills, expand options realize aspirations.
When not working to enhance the lives of her clients, Posy is committed to volunteer work, serving such organizations as the Girl Scouts, the King County Sexual Assault Resources Center, Bet Alef Meditative Synagogue, GreenLink and many others. Posy’s spirited wanderlust has taken her on explorations around the world; she especially enjoys backpacking in the mountains of Washington.
